Northern Raven [Corvus Corax]

3.3 – 4.9 ft. Wingspan

Remi was hit by a car near Rutland, VT in 2016.  She was still a young raven (less than 2 years old) and suffered a broken wing that failed to heal correctly.

Ravens are incredibly intelligent animals with communication and problem solving skills on par with primates.  It is rare for adult ravens to be hit by cars or suffer accidents in the wild due largely to this brain power.  The Northern Raven is found throughout the northern hemisphere and native peoples the world over noticed their brainy nature and the ravens and crows were widely respected in ancient times.
