Bald Eagle   [Haliaeetus leucocephalus]

5.9 – 7.5 ft. Wingspan

Molly was hit by a truck in Nebraska in late 2012.  She came to the Museum the following year when her broken wing proved irreparable.

Bald Eagles are the heaviest raptors to nest in the United States and can weigh up to 14 pounds and possess a wingspan of over 8 feet!
