The Mission of the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum is to
inspire stewardship and appreciation of the natural world through engaging educational experiences. Our vision is of a community committed to a life-long personal relationship with nature and environmental conservation.
The museum displays one of New England's largest collections of native species along with live animal exhibits, ecology, geology and natural history exhibits. With nearby access to over 600 protected acres of hiking trails, the family fun and adventure can continue outside year-round.
The Museum is a 501(c)3 Not-for-profit institution. All of the Museums funding comes from program fees, admissions, grants, and your generous donations.
"We look forward to visiting the museum every year on our vacation! We love to see how many more birds from your collection we’ve seen on our hikes."
