Named by a New Hampshire summer camp, Quest the corn snake was also found in New Hampshire.  In early 2017 he was abandoned in a parking lot along with another corn snake.  They were found and brought to the Northeastern Reptile Welfare League where the two starving snakes were brought back to good health and Quest was placed with the Museum.

Not native to the Northeast, Corn snakes (formerly Red Rat Snakes) are native to the southeastern United States.  These are among the most popular pet snakes in the country and are often seen in nature centers, zoos and museums where they have been abandoned by their owners.
