Hit by a car in late 2019, Bill was our COVID hawk.  He came from rehabilitation at the Vermont Institute of Natural Science with a permanent wing injury.  He is not able to fly well enough to survive in the wild.  Bill did not respond well to our normal training techniques but after trying some different methods, he ended up becoming a great education animal!  Red-tails prefer open spaces to hunt that often brings them along roadways, so keep your eyes open.
