Summer Hours: Memorial Day to late October, Open 7 days a week from 10:00AM to 5:00PM.
Winter Hours: Late October to Memorial Day, Open most weekends, weather permitting - Please call ahead.

Mission and Goals
The Southern Vermont Natural History Museum is a non-profit 501(C)(3) educational organization whose mission is to advance awareness, understanding and appreciation of Vermont’s natural environment. Our goal is to foster a sense of stewardship and to inspire our visitors to act in ways that will promote the long-term conservation of our natural resources and preservation of the natural world.

FROM
BENNINGTON, VT: Take Route 9 east for about 22 miles to Wilmington. At Wilmington, continue straight through the light for five more miles. The museum is on the right at the eastern end of the overlook, next to the Hogback Mountain Gift Shop.
FROM
MOUNT SNOW / STRATTON AND POINTS NORTH: Take Route 100 south into Wilmington. Make a left at the traffic light onto Route 9 east. Follow Route 9 east for 5 miles.The museum is on the right at the eastern end of the overlook, next to the Hogback Mountain Gift Shop.
FROM
BRATTLEBORO, VT AND POINTS EAST: From Brattleboro, take route 9 west for approximately 15 miles. The museum is first building on the left, at the scenic overlook next to the gift shop.
FROM INTERSTATE 91: Take Route 9 West (Exit 2) for 13 miles. The museum is on the left at the scenic overlook.

Accessibility
The
Museum is fully accessible on the ground floor
wings and has a lift down to the second floor.
Unfortunately, the raptor center is not handicapped accessible at this time.
